Since I don’t ever watch these races: was he already looking in that direction because when you’re rounding a corner like that you need to be aware of what might be coming at you , or because he saw the bike coming?

I just found it interesting he wasn’t watching the rider in front of him.

I verbally let out a Holy F***

I just squeaked you with the race weekend post.  That race was insane.

When you ride, y ou look where you want to go. That corner was a bit more then 90*, so he was looking at the exit

But what about the rider of the motorcycle that wrecked?

Morbedelli was on a stretcher but eventually walked to the ambulance. Zarco seemed okay.

*Accident  involved 2 riders.

This form of racing looks like a great way to lose a leg or break an ankle or kneecap yourself.

When they are leaning down and rubbing their shoulders against the pavement, what kind of speed are they making?

Yeah, impressive P5, but look at him post-race. If it wasn’t his life flashing before his eyes, it’s Marco’s. That’s to say nothing of his worry that his protege is probably toast, and Zarco too. Rossi was there when Simoncelli died — too painfully close there.

Any number of serious injuries. They’ve had quite a few top riders miss out race weekends this year already, due to injury/surgery.

As I’ve gotten older, some pursuits have lost their savor for me because I just don’t want to see people getting hurt.
